Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to the questions clients ask us most about hiring a lawyer in Islamabad.
Common Questions
How much does it cost to hire a lawyer in Pakistan?
Fees depend on multiple factors, including the forum, the complexity of the matter, the urgency, and the drafting and appearance work involved. We review your documents first and explain fees based on the actual work required, not a blind estimate.
Do you offer a free initial consultation?
Most first meetings, whether in person at our G-11/1 office or by phone or WhatsApp, are used to understand your documents and timeline before any fee is discussed.
How long does a case take to resolve?
Timing depends on the forum, the bench, whether interim relief is requested, and the court’s hearing schedule. A stay order or urgent interim relief can be sought quickly, while a full case — especially before the High Court — may take months. We explain likely timelines once we have reviewed your file.
Can you request an urgent stay order or interim relief?
Yes. Urgent stay orders and interim relief applications are part of our regular High Court and District Court practice, and we prioritise same-day deadlines and arrest-risk matters.
What documents should I bring to my first meeting?
Bring everything relevant rather than summarising selectively — FIRs, notices, court orders, contracts, agreements, or correspondence. Small details in a document can change the recommended legal route.
Which forum should handle my case?
It depends on the nature of the dispute. Islamabad matters can move between police stations, the Sessions Court, the District Judicial Complex at G-11/4, departmental tribunals, or the Islamabad High Court on Constitution Avenue. We identify the correct forum after reviewing your documents.
What happens if my documents are incomplete?
We identify exactly what is missing and advise on how to obtain it. Incomplete documentation is one of the most common reasons cases are delayed or weakened, so we flag gaps early rather than filing prematurely.
Will the same lawyer handle my case throughout?
Where appropriate, yes. Your matter is tracked through internal file notes so the responsible lawyer stays informed of the case status at every stage, from intake through to hearings.
Do you handle urgent matters outside normal office hours?
Urgent matters involving arrest risk, bail, or a same-day court deadline are prioritised. Call our office directly so the facts can be reviewed as quickly as possible.
Can I get advice if I am worried about the cost?
We are happy to explain the stages a matter may go through, and the factors that affect fees, before you commit to anything.
